Our procedure is simple and effective! First, your skin is cleansed in preparation for our service. Our diamond grit tip wand then lightly abrades the top layers of the skin to reveal your newly radiant skin. Microdermabrasion is suitable for all skin types and our specialized treatment removes a small section of the skin. The underlying skin is exposed to reveal a healthier youthful appearance. *No waxing, tanning, retinoids, or acne medication should be used for at least 5 days before your service.

You can expect your skin to have a red-pink glow which should fade after a day or so. You may have some slight skin tightness as well and the area may be sensitive, and all side effects should be temporary. Your Zapped skin-care specialist will have specific instructions for after your treatment, but it is important to not expose your skin to too much sun. We recommend keeping yourself hydrated and using a moisturizer to help prevent any excess peeling.

This might be different depending on your skin condition and also how your skin responds to your first treatment. You can have treatments 2-4 weeks, and you should see reduced signs of aging after about 5 treatments. Repeat sessions will be needed to maintain results, and it is also vitally important to listen to the advice of our Zapped experts in determining how long to wait in between treatment sessions.

Nope! Microderm is extremely safe. You will feel a slight scraping, gritty feeling during treatment. A ‘sunburn’ sensation immediately after treatment is normal and will subside in a few hours.

Dermaplaning is the most relaxing treatment out of our exfoliators. A surgical scalpel is lightly scraped over the skin to remove both dead skin cells and vellus hair. By removing these pesky hairs, there is a noticeable glow to the skin, which also allows for a smoother application of product and makeup *No waxing, tanning, retinoids, or acne medication should be used for at least 5 days before your service.

Two to three days after your procedure, you may experience redness and your skin may feel rough. However, your skin shouldn’t need too much time to recover and you may see your skin looking youthful and glowing immediately after treatment. It takes a few days to see the full results, and over time as your body produces collagen from the treatment your skin's texture will become smoother.

Dermaplaning should be scheduled every 3-4 weeks which is the same time the skin's natural rejuvenation process takes place. With each treatment you will stimulate new collagen growth helping to keep skin looking healthy and refreshed. It is important to know that results are not permanent. After 3-4 weeks you will see results fading. We recommend monthly treatments to maintain your healthy glow.

Not at all! You may feel a slight scraping sensation during your treatment and some tingling post care which subsides after a few hours.

For those with active acne: the Blue Light IPL is applied to active acne to eliminate acne-causing bacteria and reduce inflammation. 

For those with acne scarring: Zapped laser technology or the MD Pen will create small injuries to your skin to break down deep acne scarring and stimulate your body’s natural healing process to generate new skin cells.

Prior to your treatment, your skin will be cleansed and a gel will be applied topically if needed. Next, the energy from the light and/or laser will deliver the appropriate acne-clearing energy to your skin.

You can also expect to see results including clearer skin after just one treatment! However, the total number of treatments you will need for max benefits depends on your skin needs + goals.

Nano Needling uses a superficial, needle head that features 160 mini nano needles. The needles are made with a flat tip that penetrates the very top layer of skin. Although similar to microneedling which creates channels to maximize product absorption and exfoliation, this treatment has zero downtime.

Your Zapoligist will cleanse and tone your skin prior to your service. The nano needling pen is gently passed over the treatment area which creates nano channels allowing for serums to penetrate into the skin. You will notice an immediate glow to the skin.

Nano needling can be done bi-weekly. This is a great treatment, especially before a big event or to boost hydration. Over a series of treatments, Nano needling will help reduce fine lines, large pores and redness due to rosacea.

This treatment requires no anesthetic, which means no pain. There is no downtime and can be added to many of our SkinZap services to boost results.

Microneedling works by creating thousands of microscopic punctures or channels that switch the skin into its ‘repair’ mode, stimulating new collagen and elastin cells that renew the skin from the inside out. Increase the effectiveness of your treatment by opting for Microneedling with Radio Frequency (RF) energy to tighten skin and rebuild collagen and elastin.

Prior to your treatment, a topical numbing cream will be applied to your skin to ensure your comfort throughout the procedures. Many clients experience a slight vibration from the device during the procedure. After your initial treatment, you’ll see a healthy pink glow and diminished fine lines. Over the next four weeks as new collagen is synthesized, skin becomes firmer, regaining its elasticity, pores are refined, scarring is diminished, and the overall texture and condition of the skin is enhanced.

We recommend you book a Microneedling treatment every 4-6 weeks.

Microneedling is a completely safe and comfortable treatment. Numbing cream is applied to your face prior to treatment to reduce discomfort. Since Microneedling with RF is more intensive than Microneedling on it’s own, you may feel slightly more discomfort.
